Description
Nobody wants to throw their back out hauling an amp head into a club at midnight, and the MiniMEGA solves that problem without sacrificing the low-end weight bass players actually need. At just 9 lbs, it still pushes 1,000 watts continuous into 4 ohms (1,500W burst), which means it can drive a real rig, not just a practice cab.
What makes it feel bigger than its size is Peavey’s KOSMOS bass enhancement paired with psychoacoustic sub processing — the combination fills out your low end without piling more raw power onto your speakers than they can handle. Add in built-in optical compression with a defeat switch and a 4-band EQ with semi-parametric mids (narrow-Q control for surgical tone shaping), and you’ve got tone-shaping tools usually reserved for much heavier heads.
The back panel is built for players who run more than just a cab. You get an effects loop with bypass, DI out with both XLR and 1/4″ options plus pre/post switching, ground lift, and pad control, a tuner out, and a MIDI footswitch input so you can flip crunch, compressor, KOSMOS, FX loop, and mute from your feet mid-set. There’s also a 1/8″ headphone jack for quiet practice and user-definable control surface lighting so you can find your knobs on a dark stage.
