Description
The Schecter Riot-4 is built for bassists who want their gear to hit as hard as they do. Under that eye-catching poplar burl top sits a lightweight swamp ash body, paired with a 5-piece maple/walnut bolt-on neck stiffened by carbon-fiber rods for rock-solid stability even after long sets or temperature swings on the road.
The 34″ scale ebony fingerboard carries 24 narrow-jumbo frets and a 16″ radius, with offset/reverse dot inlays that make fast runs easy to track under stage lights. A Thin “C” profile neck keeps things comfortable whether you’re locking into a groove or tearing through a solo.
Where this bass really flexes its muscle is the electronics bay: an EMG 35JCSX in the bridge and 35PCSX in the neck feed into an EMG B-30 3-band active EQ, all running on 18v for extra clean headroom and punch. Master volume and pickup blend controls let you dial in everything from deep, woody P-style thump to snapping J-style attack.
Hardware is all business — Schecter die-cast tuners, a Graph Tech XL black TUSQ nut, and a Schecter Custom string-through bridge keep tuning locked in and sustain for days. This Satin Aurora Burst finish pairs with contrasting Rusty Grey back and sides for a look that stands out without getting in the way of the tone.
