The Stiletto Custom-4 shares its silhouette with Schecter’s Deluxe series, but what’s happening under the hood is a different animal entirely. This is the bass for players chasing a punchier, more defined low end without abandoning the fullness that made passive pickups great in the first place.
Mahogany forms the body core, topped with figured maple for both looks and resonance. The neck is a 6-bolt, 34″ scale build using multi-laminate maple and walnut, capped with a rosewood fretboard and 24 jumbo frets marked with offset dot inlays. Schecter’s ‘Ultra Access’ neck joint clears the way up top, so those high-fret runs and solos don’t fight you for space.
EMG HZ pickups do the heavy lifting tonally – they’re voiced to capture that classic passive-pickup character while adding top-end clarity and output punch. Paired with active electronics offering a 12dB bass/treble cut and boost, you’ve got real shaping power at your fingertips, whether you’re locking into a mix live or carving out a specific tone in the studio.
Black hardware throughout, an S-Tek bridge for solid string anchoring, and Schecter’s own tuners round out the build, all wrapped in a Natural Satin finish that lets the mahogany and figured maple grain speak for itself.
