Description
The Stiletto Studio-6 FL takes Schecter’s 6-string platform and strips away the frets, leaving a lined fretless fingerboard that lets you glide between notes with real vocal-style phrasing. Neck-thru construction ties the maple/walnut multi-ply neck straight into the mahogany body, giving you sustain that just keeps blooming and a smooth transition into the upper register thanks to the Ultra Access neck-thru heel design.
Under your fingers you get a Thin ‘C’ profile on a 35″ scale – long enough to keep low B tight and controlled, slim enough that six strings don’t feel like a stretch. The rosewood board carries a 16″ radius with lined fret markers standing in for frets, so you can still find your position by feel and sight. Dual truss rods and carbon fiber reinforcement rods keep everything stable, while the Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut and Schecter tuners handle tuning duties up top.
A bubinga top over the mahogany body adds some brightness and snap to balance the fretless growl, and the pair of EMG 45HZ pickups run through master volume, blend, and 3-band active EQ controls give you a lot of tonal room to shape that voice – from woody and rounded to punchy and articulate. The Diamond Custom Bass bridge and satin gold hardware round out the look in a warm Honey Satin finish that keeps things understated on stage.
