Description
Every bassist knows the Ampeg growl when they hear it, and the BA-115v2 packs that heritage into a combo built for real gigging life. This isn’t a scaled-down toy — it’s 150 watts RMS pushed through a 15″ Ampeg Custom15 speaker paired with a 1″ HF tweeter, so you get low-end weight with enough top-end clarity to cut through a mix. The legacy Ampeg preamp with 3-band EQ and Ultra Hi/Lo shaping lets you dial in everything from thumpy vintage roundness to a modern scooped attack.
Flip on the Bass Scrambler and you’ve got instant SVT-style overdrive without hauling a separate pedal or head — grind on tap whenever a song calls for it (footswitch sold separately). Need it clean and warm instead? The HF mute kills the horn for a rounder, old-school voice.
Stage practicality is baked in: a true 60-degree monitor angle throws sound right at your ears instead of your knees, an XLR balanced line out gets you straight to the board, and independent effects send/return keeps your pedalboard in the signal chain properly. Running an active bass with hot output? The -15dB pad has you covered. Woodshedding at midnight? Plug into the headphone out and nobody has to know.
Built like it expects to get thrown in a van: a roadworthy braced cabinet, all-steel chassis, impact-resistant metal corners, and double-thick Ampeg Classic black Tolex. At 45 lbs, it’s still one person’s job to carry.
