Description
Don’t judge the Micro-VR by its size. Ampeg shrunk the classic 1970s SVT look down into a shoulder-bag-friendly head, then packed in a genuinely gig-worthy MOS-FET power amp rated at 200 watts RMS into 4 ohms. It’s the kind of rig you throw in the trunk and forget is even a hassle to carry — until you plug in and remember why everyone loves that Ampeg growl.
This is a solid-state, single-channel design built for bassists who want reliable tone without hauling tube weight to every gig. Dial in your sound with dedicated Bass, Mid, and Treble controls alongside Gain and Volume, and use the switchable 15 dB input pad to tame hot active basses. A selectable Limiter with LED indicator keeps you protected from unexpected peaks, and a separate Peak LED gives you a heads-up before things get ugly.
Pair it with the SVT 210AV cabinet (sold separately) for a purpose-built mini stack, or run it through your own rig — either way, the Micro-VR keeps up.
