This Deluxe Active Jazz Bass is built for bassists who want that classic offset J-Bass grind without babysitting hum. The pair of Vintage Noiseless Jazz Bass pickups (middle and bridge) give you the throaty midrange and articulate top end this shape is famous for, minus the 60-cycle buzz that plagues traditional single-coils on a loud stage.
Under the hood is a three-band active EQ – treble, mid, and bass boost/cut – plus an active/passive switch, so you can go from a scooped modern slap tone to a raw, vintage-flavored passive growl without changing basses. Flip the switch, dig in, and let the room decide.
The alder body wears a Surf Pearl gloss polyester finish over a bolt-on maple neck with a comfortable “C” profile and Pau Ferro fingerboard. A 12″ radius and medium jumbo frets keep fast lines and chunky chords equally playable, while pearloid dot inlays add a little vintage sparkle without shouting for attention.
The 4-saddle HiMass bridge adds the metal mass this bass needs for rock-solid sustain, tuning stability, and intonation you can trust night after night – no drifting mid-set. A 4-bolt asymmetrical neck plate keeps the neck-to-body connection tight and resonant.
