Description
There’s a reason the Jazz Bass has anchored more low end than almost any other instrument in music history, and this Player Series version keeps that lineage alive without pretense. Two Player Series Alnico 5 single-coils sit in the alder body, giving you that familiar growl and punch that cuts through a mix whether you’re tracking in a studio or holding down a full band on stage. Blend the bridge and middle volumes with the master tone and you can dial in everything from a woody, vintage thump to a snarling, aggressive edge.
The maple neck wears a Modern C profile, shaped for hours of comfortable playing whether you’re locked into a groove or stretching out for a solo. A 9.5″ radius maple fingerboard with 20 medium-jumbo frets keeps action low and playable across the whole range, and the 4-saddle bridge lets you fine-tune intonation and feel until the bass responds exactly the way you want under your hands.
Finished in Polar White with a 3-ply parchment pickguard, this bass carries the small details that separate a real Fender from the rest: synthetic bone nut, vintage-style string trees, open-gear tuners, and the four-bolt neck plate stamped with the F that’s marked genuine Fender instruments for decades.
