The V-Mod split-coil pickup, built by longtime Fender pickup designer Michael Bump with a specific blend of alnico magnets, gives you that classic P thud with more clarity on top. Cut through a mix without losing the warmth that makes a Precision Bass sound like a Precision Bass.
Under your hand, the ’63 C neck profile on maple is the shape most bassists measure every other neck against — comfortable for hours, whether you’re tracking or standing through a three-set night. Narrow-tall frets keep intonation locked up and down the rosewood board, and Posiflex graphite rods inside the neck keep it stable when the weather backstage isn’t cooperating.
Fluted-shaft tuners keep string windings tight for better break angle over the bone nut, which means less tuning drift mid-set. The HiMass vintage-style bridge with single-groove saddles adds sustain and old-school looks without sacrificing stability.
