Fender built this Pure Vintage bridge assembly on the same tooling used for the original 1958 hardware, so it’s not a reissue-of-a-reissue guess — it’s the real geometry, the real mass, the real steel-and-chrome recipe that gave early Precision Basses their fat, woody fundamental and solid sustain.
The chrome-plated bridge plate anchors four nickel-plated steel barrel saddles with grooved string channels, keeping your strings tracking straight and your intonation stable string to string. There’s real heft here, the kind that helps a bass feel locked-in under your palm when you’re digging in on a gig, and it couples to the body in a way that lighter modern bridges just don’t replicate.

This was the bridge used on early ’58 Precision Basses, and it fits most vintage and modern Precision Bass and Jazz Bass guitars with the classic five-screw mounting pattern.
