Some overdrives give you one flavor of dirt. The Alpha·Omicron gives you two full circuits and lets you blend between them, so you’re never stuck with a tone that only works for half your set. This is a preamp built by bassists who know that cutting through a wall of guitars and drums takes more than just gain — it takes character you can shape on the fly.
- Blend — Keep your clean signal at unity while dialing in exactly how much grit sits on top, using the Level knob to fine-tune the overdriven layer underneath.
- Drive — Controls how much gain feeds the dirty circuit, from a light edge to full-on saturation.
- Mod — Blend or switch between Alpha (punchy, tight, super defined) and Omega (raw, brutal, unapologetic). This is where the pedal’s personality really lives.
- Bite Switch — Kicks in a high-mid boost around 2.8kHz for extra cut and presence in a busy mix.
- Growl Switch — Shelving bass boost that fattens the low end and adds saturation right where your gut wants it.
Compact at 11.3×7.5 cm (4.45×2.95 in), it’s an easy fit on any board without hogging real estate. Power it correctly and it’ll behave: this pedal draws 20mA and requires a regulated 9V DC center-negative adapter. There’s no battery option by design — it’s not built for that, and running it on an unregulated or higher-voltage supply risks noise issues or damage that voids your warranty. Give it clean power and it rewards you with tone that goes from articulate growl to teeth-baring chaos, all under your control.
