Description
Every bassist starts somewhere, and for a lot of us it’s a Jazz Bass. The Squier Affinity gets you the real deal shape, feel and tone without the real deal price tag. Alder body, maple neck with a rosewood board and that easy-playing “C” profile — it’s built for hours of practice or your first gig without fighting the instrument.
Tonally, you get the classic SS setup: two single-coil Jazz Bass pickups (one at the neck, one at the bridge) wired to twin volumes and a master tone, so you can dial in anything from round, woody lows to that scooped, snappy bridge bite Jazz Bass players chase. No switching to fuss over — just knobs and feel.
The 34″ scale and 9.5″ radius fingerboard with medium jumbo frets make lines and runs comfortable whether you’re locked into a groove or reaching for something further up the neck. Chrome hardware, open-gear tuners, and a 4-bolt neck plate keep things solid and gig-ready, while the 3-ply parchment pickguard against Race Red gives it real presence on a dark stage.
