Description
Need a fifth string but don’t want to leave the Precision sound behind? This is Squier’s answer – a genuine five-string P Bass, not an afterthought. The Fender-designed split single-coil pickup pushes out that thick, punchy low-mid character bass players have leaned on for decades, now stretched down to a low B for extra reach on gigs that call for it.
The maple neck wears a Modern “C” profile that fills the hand without feeling like a plank, paired with a 9.5″ radius maple fingerboard and 20 medium jumbo frets for comfortable fretting up and down the neck. Vintage tint on the neck and black dot inlays keep the look period-correct, while the tortoiseshell-style pickguard (three-ply parchment on this Candy Apple Red finish) and knurled flat-top knobs round out the retro vibe.
Under the hood you get a straightforward master volume/master tone setup – simple, reliable, no fuss on stage. The vintage-style five-string bridge with single-groove saddles and open-gear tuners keep things locked in tune, and it ships strung with Fender USA NPS strings (.045-.130) ready to go.
