Description
The Fusion 550 gives bassists a hybrid rig in one box: a six-stage 12AX7 tube preamp feeding a high-current solid-state power section. You get the rounded, harmonically rich low end tube circuits are known for, tightened up by the fast transient response that’s made GK a mainstay on stages for decades. It’s a tone that splits the difference between vintage warmth and modern punch, so you’re not stuck choosing one over the other.
What sets this head apart is the motorized control system – dial in two completely different EQ/gain settings and switch between them on the fly with the included footswitch. Slap tone for the verse, fingerstyle growl for the chorus, no rack of pedals required.
- 500 watts into 4 ohms / 350 watts into 8 ohms
