The JS2 Concert Bass is proof that you don’t need to spend a fortune to get real low-end power. Jackson built this one on a lightweight poplar body, so it hangs comfortably through a long set, and finished it in Snow White for a look that stands out under stage lights.
The bolt-on maple neck is reinforced with graphite and a scarf joint for stability, running 34″ scale with a 12″-16″ compound radius rosewood board. That compound radius means comfortable chord work down low and easier bends up high, and with 24 jumbo frets you’ve got the full range covered right up the neck. Pearloid sharkfin inlays mark your spot without fuss.
Where this bass earns its keep is the pickup pairing: dual Jackson high-output humbuckers deliver a thick, aggressive low-end growl that cuts through a mix instead of getting buried in it. A high mass Jackson bridge locks strings down solid, adding sustain and punch to every note. Controls are straightforward – independent volume for neck and bridge pickups plus a master tone – so you can dial in blend and character on the fly.
