The Portaflex name means something to bassists who’ve hauled real B-15s up flights of stairs, and this PF-350 / PF-115HE stack gives you that same tone lineage minus the chiropractor visits. The head weighs in at just 8 lbs but still puts out a full 350W at 4 ohms through a Class D power amp and solid-state preamp, so you get Ampeg’s low-end character without lugging tube weight to the gig.
Onboard you’ve got bass, mid, and treble shaping, a built-in limiter to keep things clean when you dig in, an FX loop for pedal integration, and a balanced direct out for quick front-of-house hookup. A -15dB input pad and 1/8″ headphone/line-in round out the practical side — useful for silent practice or plugging in a phone to jam along.
Underneath sits the PF-115HE, built the way Portaflex cabs have always been built: black diamond tolex, B-15-style grille cloth, and a 15mm poplar ply shell that can take road abuse. A ceramic Eminence 15″ driver handles the low end while a compression tweeter with its own L-Pad level control adds top-end clarity without stepping on the fundamental. It’s rated for 450W RMS at 8 ohms, so the PF-350 has plenty of headroom to work with, and true to Portaflex tradition, the cab flips for transport and any PF Series head drops right on top.
