Description
Every bassist has that amp tone in their head—the one that made you fall in love with the low end in the first place. The VT Bass DI puts it in a box you can toss in your gig bag and forget about, until it’s time to blow the roof off.
This isn’t a generic DI. It’s built on the same SansAmp circuitry that made the original VT Bass a staple for players who want to be felt as much as heard—from thick, chunky funk lines to the growling gain of indie rock, all the way to Character-control-driven fat distortion reminiscent of Crimson and King’s X.
- Three outputs (1/4-inch, XLR, and Parallel) mean you can run to your amp, record direct, drive a power amp, and feed the PA—simultaneously if the gig calls for it
- Blend control lets you mix your clean signal with the SansAmp tone shaping, so you never lose your core sound
- Bite switch adds presence and a subsonic filter for extra low-end punch when you need it
- Dials in everything from clean SVT-style thump to gritty, earthquake-worthy rumble
- Manual includes sample settings: SVT-style, Fat Tube, Flip Top-style, Rage, Thumpy Funk, Fuzzed out, Warm Compression, and Yes-style
- Runs on phantom power, a 9V battery (not included), or an optional Tech 21 DC4-A power supply (DC2 also compatible, though discontinued)
For the working bassist who needs pro tone without hauling an amp head, the VT Bass DI delivers decades of legendary low-end character in a footprint small enough to forget it’s even there—until you plug in.
