Description

If you love the P-bass growl but need the extra low B, the EMG-P5 gives you that same split-coil DNA in a 5-string footprint. It’s built on the same short, squat coil design that made the original EMG-P famous — low resistance, high inductance, and none of the series-wired losses you get with passive P pickups. The result is roughly double the low-end output of a stock passive P, with ceramic magnets keeping the top end clear instead of mushy.

This is the pickup a lot of touring bassists reach for when they want a P that still sounds like a P but hits harder — natural presence, deep punchy lows, midrange that cuts through a mix, and note definition that holds up at volume.
