Description
Don’t let the small footprint fool you – the Fullerton Deluxe Fallout hits hard. G&L built this around a 30″ short scale neck, so anyone coming off a standard 34″ bass will find the reach effortless, while the low end stays surprisingly full and round for the size.
The heart of the tone is a single G&L Magnetic Field Design humbucking pickup, wired to a 3-position mini-toggle that switches between parallel, split, and series (“OMG”) modes – the same setup found on the L-1000. That gives you a real spread of voices from one pickup: tight and modern, hollow and vintage, or fat and aggressive, all without touching a pedal.
Built for the stage as much as the studio, it pairs an Alder body with a Maple bolt-on neck and a Caribbean rosewood fingerboard (or Maple, depending on finish), a Saddle-Lock Bridge for solid string-to-body transfer, and G&L Ultra Lite tuners to help keep the whole instrument balanced and neck-friendly on longer gigs.
- 3-tone Sunburst over Alder, 3-ply tortoise pickguard, Caribbean rosewood fingerboard
- Himalayan Blue over Alder, 3-ply parchment pickguard, Caribbean rosewood fingerboard
- Alpine White over Alder, 3-ply pearl pickguard, Caribbean rosewood fingerboard
- Purpleburst over Ash, 3-ply pearl pickguard, Maple fingerboard
Whether you’re doubling on short scale for feel or just want a punchy, grab-and-go bass for the van, the Fallout delivers real G&L tone in a smaller package.
