The MG-212T takes Jeff Genzler’s Magellan design philosophy and packs it into a cabinet that feels more like a compact tower than a traditional bass cab. The dual 12″ drivers sit close together in a vertical stack, and that tight spacing is exactly why the low and low-mid frequencies come out so punchy and focused — no smearing, no mush, just a controlled push of air that stays articulate even when you’re digging in.
Built from 12mm and 15mm Baltic Birch plywood, this cab is lighter than it looks and stronger than most boxes twice its weight class thanks to the triangular front ports, which double as structural bracing in the corners. The Faital neodymium 12″ speakers use a dual-wound voice coil for extra headroom, and the proprietary 1″ compression tweeter — Ferro Fluid cooled — hands off the top end with a smoother, more polite character than the average bright bass tweeter, so your highs stay present without getting harsh on stage.
Handles 700 watts at 4 ohms, weighs in at 54 lbs, and rounds out the tone with genuine low-end depth and midrange clarity that translates well through a PA or straight into the crowd.
