Every working bassist knows the hassle of swapping instruments mid-set or fighting an EQ that wasn’t built for low end. The Bassbone OD solves both. Two fully independent input channels each get their own level control, a passive-interactive EQ with real teeth, and a low-frequency filter to tame boomy resonance before it hits the PA.
- Channel A includes a PZB booster that bumps sensitivity and input impedance to 10 meg ohms — exactly what a piezo pickup on an upright bass needs to sound natural instead of thin.
- Channel B brings Drag Control load correction, which restores the pull and feel a vintage passive Fender bass loses when plugged into modern high-impedance gear.
- A footswitch flips between channels instantly, and a blend switch mixes both together for dual-pickup setups.
- Outputs cover a 1/4″ instrument-level feed for your amp and a balanced, low-Z Radial DI to the console, with the XLR switchable pre or post effects so the engineer gets what they need without a fight.
- A buffered tuner output pairs with the mute footswitch for silent on-stage tuning between songs.
Effects players will appreciate the built-in send/receive loop shared across both channels, so you’re not duplicating pedals for each instrument. Layered on top is an onboard bass overdrive with adjustable drive and tone, plus a wet/dry blend that ranges from a touch of SVT-style grind to full-blown fuzz. The OD footswitch can be set to trigger the loop, the overdrive, or both together. There’s even a 3.5mm headphone output with its own amp for practicing quietly on the tour bus.
