• Run both pickups together and you get genuine hum-canceling performance with very low noise
• Solo either pickup on its own and expect some hum — that’s the tradeoff with true single-coil design; they’re quieter than most traditional singles, but not silent enough for onboard electronics
• The 9J1 winding gives the neck pickup a brighter voice while the bridge pickup delivers real growl — a bit brighter than the older 94J, but cut from the same cloth
