If you’ve ever plugged in an upright and lost that woody, breathing quality of the instrument, the Full Circle exists to fix that. Instead of bolting on tone, Fishman built the pickup right into the aluminum height adjuster wheel itself, so it reads the bass the way it actually vibrates – full-bodied pizzicato thump, bowed arco warmth, or the crack of a slap, all translated honestly through your amp.
This is the 6 x 1mm format specifically; if your endpin hardware calls for different threading, Fishman also makes this pickup in a UNC 1/4-20 format.
What separates the Full Circle from a generic clip-on or under-saddle unit is the onboard fine-tuning control. It’s not a tone-shaping EQ so much as a voicing switch – dial toward open and resonant when you want the bass to breathe, or toward dry and focused when you need the note to sit tighter in a busy mix. That flexibility matters on stage, where room acoustics and band volume change night to night.
Because it lives inside the height adjuster wheel, installation is a fairly quick retro-fit on any upright already equipped with that hardware – no drilling, no permanent modification. That said, professional installation is still the smart move to get positioning and wiring right.
Pair it with a Fishman Pro-EQ Platinum Bass, Pro-EQ II, or B-II preamp for impedance matching and more control at the board – not mandatory, but it’ll get more out of the pickup’s dynamic range.
