The Pure Vintage ’64 pickups are wound and built the old way – enamel-coated coil wire, cloth output leads, fiber bobbins, alnico 5 magnets – which is exactly why they growl deep on the bridge pickup and snap with articulate punch when you dial in more of the middle.
