Description
Need the extra low B but not the extra cost? The Affinity Series Jazz Bass V takes the Jazz Bass formula bassists have leaned on for decades and stretches it to five strings without inflating the price tag. It’s built for players who want that scooped, snappy Jazz Bass voice with room to dig into low tunings, drop-band gigs, or just fuller chords without hunting for a capo.
Under the hood you get dual single-coil Jazz Bass pickups (S/S) wired with the classic control layout – separate volume for each pickup plus a master tone – so you can dial in anything from thumping neck-heavy warmth to biting bridge snap, or blend both for the full scoop. The one-piece maple neck has a comfortable “C” profile, a 9.5″ radius rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays, and 20 medium jumbo frets that make fast runs and heavy chords feel natural across the 34″ scale.
Hardware is straightforward and gig-ready: a top-load 5-saddle bridge, die-cast mini tuners for smoother tuning across five strings, a synthetic bone nut, and chrome-finished hardware throughout, capped off with knurled chrome dome control knobs for a solid grip mid-set.
