Carrying an amp shouldn’t be the hardest part of the gig. The MB210-II packs GK’s legendary tone into a cab that a single bassist can sling over a shoulder without thinking twice. Two 10″ ceramic Paragon drivers push 500 watts of Class D power, and the low end is deceptively deep and punchy for something this light — no muddiness, no flab, just tight, present bass that cuts through a mix or fills a room.
Under the hood you get GK’s famed 4-band active EQ, the tone shaping section players have relied on for decades because it’s musical without being fussy. Flip the Contour switch for that classic scooped, aggressive GK growl, or leave it flat for a more transparent voice. A -10dB input pad means passive or active basses both sit right without clipping, and the onboard Limiter keeps things clean when you push the amp hard at volume — or switch it off if you want every bit of dynamic nuance at lower stage levels. The horn tweeter adds sizzle and bite when engaged, or can be killed entirely for a thicker, old-school low-end character.
Practical touches round it out: a built-in XLR DI for going straight to the board or into a recording interface, an 1/8″ aux input for jamming along to tracks, and a headphone jack for quiet practice sessions. Durable lightweight plywood construction and a recessed top strap handle make it genuinely easy to move — a real consideration when you’re loading in solo before soundcheck.
