Description
Every bassist who’s chased that Darkglass growl knows the drill: pedal on, pedal off, tone lost somewhere in between. The Microtubes 900 V2 solves that by building the Microtubes Engine right into the amp, running as its own channel alongside a genuinely clean, all-analog preamp. You get 900 watts from a Class D power module, but the real story is the split control layout – clean tone on one side, distortion character on the other, blended to taste.
The clean side gives you Gain and Master alongside an active 4-band EQ. Bass and Treble sit at fixed frequencies, while Low Mids and Hi Mids each get their own 3-way frequency switch, so you can actually chase the exact scoop or bump your bass needs live instead of settling for a generic mid knob.
Flip over to the Microtubes Engine and you’re working with Drive, Tone, Level, and a Blend knob that mixes clean and dirty signals together – no need to commit to full distortion if you just want it thickened up. A B3K/VMT switch lets you choose between the aggressive, percussive B3K voicing or the warmer, mid-forward VMT character, covering two completely different flavors of grind from one amp.
