Description
Don’t let the size fool you — the Minion JS1X packs real low-end weight into a body that’s easier to wrangle on a cramped stage or a long set. Jackson shrank the scale to 28.6″ without gutting the tone, so you still get that P/J snarl and thump, just in a frame that’s kinder on your back and easier for smaller players to get around.
The poplar body keeps things light, while the bolt-on maple neck adds graphite reinforcement rods so it stays stable even after sweaty gigs and seasonal swings. The 12″ radius amaranth fingerboard is fast under the hand, with 22 jumbo frets giving you room to dig in for slap or lock into a groove low on the neck. Pearloid sharkfin inlays keep it looking sharp under stage lights.
Electronics are straightforward and gig-ready: a Jackson P-style neck pickup for that woody, mid-forward foundation, paired with a Jackson J-style bridge pickup for snap and definition. Two volumes and a single tone knob give you quick control between songs, no overthinking required. The hardtail bridge with black base plate keeps tuning stable, and Jackson-branded die-cast tuners hold pitch through soundcheck and beyond.
Finished in Pavo Purple with black hardware for a clean, no-nonsense look on stage.
