The B3K V2 is the pedal that put Darkglass on every serious bassist’s board, and the CMOS-updated version keeps that same aggressive, articulate drive while giving you tighter control over how it sits in your tone. This isn’t a one-trick fuzz — it’s built to layer saturation on top of your signal, not bury it.
- Level – sets output volume of the overdriven signal
- Drive – controls how much saturation gets piled on
- Blend – mixes your clean tone (locked at unity gain) with the overdriven signal, so you can go from a whisper of grit to full distortion without losing your fundamental note
- Grunt switch – three bass-boost settings that decide how much low end hits the clipping stage before it saturates
- Attack switch – shapes treble saturation with Boost, Flat, or Cut settings; the Cut position is a lifesaver on new strings or rigs running a tweeter, keeping fizz in check
Compact at 11.3 × 7.5 cm (4.45 × 2.95 in), it slots onto crowded boards easily but hits hard enough to anchor a whole band’s low end on its own.
Power note: draws 20mA and requires a regulated 9V DC center-negative adapter — no batteries, ever. Skip the regulated supply and you risk noise issues or a fried unit, plus a voided warranty.
