Description
The B3K has become a staple on pedalboards for a reason — it takes your bass tone and pushes it into aggressive, saturated territory while keeping the note fundamental intact. This V2 CMOS version is built for players who want their overdrive to feel dangerous but still track tight with the band, whether you’re laying down a groove or ripping through a solo.
- Level — controls the output volume of the overdriven signal
- Drive — dials in how much saturation gets stacked onto your tone
- Blend — mixes your clean signal (held at unity gain) with the dirt, so you can go from a subtle edge to full fuzz-out chaos using the Level knob to shape the ratio
- Grunt Switch — three settings let you choose how much low end gets fed into the clipping stage before it saturates
- Attack Switch — shapes the treble content going into saturation: Boost adds bite and clarity, Flat keeps things natural, and Cut tames harsh highs, which is a lifesaver with fresh strings or a rig loaded with tweeters
Compact at 11.3 x 7.5 cm (4.45 x 2.95 in), the B3K slots onto any board without hogging real estate. Keep in mind it draws 20mA and needs a regulated 9V DC center-negative adapter — no batteries, and skip the unregulated supplies or you risk noise issues or pedal damage.
