Every low end has dead spots and peaks that fight your mix, and that’s exactly what the EBS MultiComp is built to smooth over. It’s earned near-legendary status among bass players for one reason: it makes an already good tone sound tighter, more even, and more confident without sounding “compressed.” This bundle includes the pedal plus two 6″ patch cables, so you can drop it into your board and start playing instead of hunting for connectors.
Dialing it in is refreshingly simple. One knob sets your Comp/Limit level, another sets Gain, and a mode selector lets you pick between Tubeism, Multi Band (MB), or Normal compression character depending on how aggressive or transparent you want things to feel. Need to go deeper? An Active/Passive switch on the side and an internal Threshold trim pot give you finer control when a straightforward setup isn’t quite enough.
This isn’t a new idea — the MultiComp has been refined since 1998. The 2008 update brought 3 dB more headroom, better sensitivity, revised analog circuitry with lower noise and higher dynamics, and true bypass switching. The 2015 Studio Edition took it further with an optimized signal path, new signal relay switching, over-voltage protection up to 18V, and flexible 9-12V DC power.
