- SPB-3 uses quarter-inch diameter pole pieces to widen the magnetic field, pulling more frequency range out of the string. The result is a fat, full punch with strong mid-range presence and maximum output — the kind of tone that cuts through a dense mix without sounding thin. It’s a Basslines favorite for a reason: heavy rock players lean on it, but it’s versatile enough to carry blues, funk, or straight-ahead rock just as easily. Comes with black logo covers, a wiring diagram, and mounting screws.
- SJB-3B is a high-output true single-coil built for players who want the slam of the Hot Jazz pickup but with sharper attack. The same quarter-inch poles and dense windings give it full-bodied response and sustain that holds up on long notes. Works well for blues, classic rock, garage, and heavier styles like classic and nu-metal. Includes a logo cover.
Together, this pair gives a single-pickup-feeling instrument real tonal range — blend them for punch with clarity, or lean on either pickup solo. Want even more control over the mix? These are commonly run with an STC-2 or STC-3 Tone Circuit for shaping on the fly.
