Tremor sidesteps that problem by faithfully recreating the smooth sine-wave pulse of Leo Fender’s old Blackface tremolo circuits, the kind found in a Twin or Super Reverb, without the vintage flakiness that turns those amps into square-wave popcorn machines over time.
Built by Paul Gagon, a former Fender R&D engineer with a genuine obsession for that era’s amps, Tremor gives bassists a way to get authentic, musical pulse on a pedalboard instead of hoping an old amp behaves. The dual-mode design is the real hook for gigging players: lock in two separate speed settings and flip between them with a footswitch, so you can move from a slow, breathing pulse to a faster chop mid-set without bending down or fumbling a knob. A blue LED pulses in time with whichever speed is active, which doubles as a handy visual reference in a dark room.
Under the hood, Tremor is built for the low end and for the road: 1MEG Ohm input impedance keeps your pickups loading correctly, 1% metal-film resistors and high-voltage poly caps keep the tone consistent night after night, and a military-spec circuit board means it can survive van rides and sweaty stages that would wreck a real vintage amp. True hardwire bypass keeps your signal clean when the effect’s off.
