Xotic built this preamp/booster to preserve your instrument’s natural attack and tonal character across the whole gain range, so whether you’re pushing a little clean volume for a solo or driving into full-on distortion, the low end stays punchy and the note definition doesn’t get smeared into mud.
Two broadly overlapping EQ bands give you 15dB of boost or cut each, letting you sculpt everything from subtle low-mid warmth to more aggressive tonal shaping without fighting the controls. The gain knob covers a wide territory on its own—dial it back for a pristine clean push, or crank it toward hard-edged drive that stays firm and controlled thanks to just the right touch of compression. Note separation holds up even when things get dirty, which matters a lot when you’re playing chords or fast passages.
True bypass keeps your signal clean and interference-free when the pedal’s off, and it’ll run on either a 9V battery or an optional AC adapter—whatever suits your board setup. Comes bundled with two free 6″ patch cables so you can get it wired in and gigging right away.
