Description
The XJ-1T takes the Jazz Bass formula every low-end player knows and rebuilds it with Xotic’s own obsessive attention to detail. This isn’t a copy chasing vintage mojo – it’s a modern five-string engineered for tonal range, low-end clarity, and night-after-night reliability on stage.
- Alder body carved in the classic J-Bass shape, fitted with a custom-contoured pickguard
- 22-fret maple neck with rosewood fretboard, oil-finished for a fast, natural feel, Jescar #6150-type frets, and a pure bone nut
- Xotic JB 5-string pickups deliver that punchy, articulate Jazz Bass growl with the extra low B string handled cleanly
- Xotic’s onboard 18V 3-band preamp with Mid and Bright switches, plus an Output Gain control – dial in warm vintage thump or a modern, aggressive slap tone without reaching for a pedal
- Built-in Hum Reduction Inductor (HRI) keeps single-coil noise out of your signal so quiet passages stay quiet
- Type-A brass bridge and Hipshot UltraLight tuners for solid sustain and tuning stability that holds up through long sets
- Chrome hardware and a Gotoh strap button round out the build
Controls run Volume, Balancer, Tone, the 3-band EQ with switches, and gain – giving five-string players real flexibility to shape their sound rather than just adjusting it. Whether you’re anchoring a funk set or laying down something heavier, the XJ-1T is built to adapt without losing its character.
