Bass Drive was built to solve a very specific gigging problem: digital bass amps that sound sterile and thin. Run your signal through this pedal and you get that big, round, phat tone associated with John Entwistle of The Who — plenty of sustain, but tuned to sit correctly in a mix rather than fight it.
What sets the Drive control apart is how it behaves. Instead of stacking a fuzzy layer on top of your clean signal like a lot of bass overdrives do, it blends into your existing tone gradually, so you can push it as hard or as little as the song needs while your low-end stays intact and doesn’t disappear into mush.
