Description
Some basses are built to disappear into the mix. This one isn’t. The G6136LSB takes Gretsch’s iconic White Falcon silhouette and stretches it out to a full 34″ scale, giving you a hollowbody bass that’s as much a visual statement as it is a working instrument. The arched laminated maple body with oversized bound f-holes and gold-sparkle binding delivers that unmistakable air and bloom that only a true hollowbody can produce — a very different low-end character than you’ll get from a slab body.
Under the hood, dual TV Jones Thunder’Tron Bass pickups handle the heavy lifting. Run them together for a thick, blended growl, or split them with the 3-position toggle for punchier bridge attack or warmer neck fullness. The 3-position master tone switch gives you quick access to a rolled-off vintage voice, a wide-open bark, or something in between — no fumbling with pots mid-set.
The three-piece maple neck carries an ebony fingerboard with mother-of-pearl thumbnail inlays, staying smooth and stable across 20 frets. Gold-plated Gotoh locking tuners keep tuning solid despite the flashy looks, and the Space Control roller bridge with G-cutout tailpiece rounds out hardware built for players who take this instrument seriously, not just for show.
