At 39 pounds it’s a one-trip load-in, and once it’s powered up, 500 watts of solid-state muscle pushed through dual custom Eminence 10″ speakers and a mutable HF horn fills a room without breaking a sweat. The rear-ported cabinet digs out extra low-end depth, so your bottom string stays felt, not just heard.
Tone shaping runs through Ampeg’s Legacy preamp with a 3-band EQ, plus Ultra High and Ultra Low switches for quick tonal extremes — Ultra High adds 9dB at 8kHz for cut-through clarity, Ultra Low kicks in 2dB at 40Hz for extra weight underneath. When you want grit, the footswitchable Super Grit Overdrive goes from subtle tube-like warmth at low gain to full-on snarl as you push it. Top-mounted controls mean you’re adjusting on the fly between songs, not crouching behind the cab mid-set.
Around back you’ve got what a working bassist actually needs: an XLR direct out for the PA or studio board, a 1/4″ extension speaker output for adding a cab, an effects loop for outboard gear, an aux input for practicing along to tracks, and a headphone jack for quiet woodshedding.
