The Bartolini AGMPB/918 solves that with a dual-channel buffer/preamp built specifically for this job. One channel offers the high-impedance input piezo and microphonic transducers need, while the other isolates your magnetic pickup’s channel so neither signal drags the other down.
Each channel has its own trimmer, giving you true independent gain adjustment up to 12dB (4x boost) while keeping the frequency response flat — no weird coloration, just more signal when you need it. The whole unit is smaller than half a 9-volt battery, so it tucks into tight control cavities without a fight. Consider it a drop-in upgrade for the older MPB2-918, with simpler wiring and real gain control on both sides now.
