This is the heaviest gauge in D’Addario’s Chromes line (.050-.070-.085-.105), so expect a firmer pull and a bit more resistance under your fingers compared to lighter flats — a tradeoff a lot of players make gladly for the extra low-frequency muscle and sustain. Built for long scale basses up to 36 1/4 inches, they’ll fit the vast majority of standard 34″ and 35″ long-scale instruments without issue.
