This isn’t just an overdrive with a tone knob bolted on; it’s a real preamp built to be the brain of your rig, whether you’re tracking direct in the studio or fighting for space in a loud room.
- Level – dials in the volume of your overdriven signal
- Drive – controls how much saturation you’re stacking on
- Blend – keeps your clean signal at unity while the Level knob handles the dirty side, so you can find that exact ratio of grind to fundamental
- 4-Band EQ – Low (±12dB @ 100Hz), Low Mids (±12dB @ 1kHz), Hi Mids (±12dB @ 2.8kHz), Treble (±12dB @ 5kHz)
- Grunt switch – three bass-boost stages feeding the clipping circuit before saturation, for choosing exactly how much low end gets grimy
- Attack switch – Boost, Flat, or Cut for the treble content hitting the saturation stage; Cut is a lifesaver on fresh strings or tweeter-loaded cabs where things can get harsh fast
- Parallel Output – a clean passthrough of your input for parallel rigs
- Direct Output – balanced XLR-style tap of the 1/4″ output for running straight to a PA or mixing desk

Power note: draws 30mA – use only a regulated 9V DC center-negative adapter. No battery option (deliberately, for the planet’s sake). Unregulated supplies or higher voltages can add noise or damage the unit and void your warranty.
