Description
Some overdrives just add fuzz. The Vintage Microtubes adds feel — that slightly springy, compressed push you get from a tube amp running hot or tape saturating on the way in. It’s built for players who want grit without losing the shape of their attack, whether you’re rounding off a P-bass tone or pushing a modern rig into gnarlier territory.
- Level — sets the output volume of the overdriven signal.
- Drive — dials in how much saturation you’re stacking on top of your tone.
- Blend — mixes your clean signal (held at unity gain) with the driven signal, so you can keep low-end punch intact while layering in grind. Level controls the driven portion, giving you precise control over the ratio.
- Era — works with Drive to move the pedal’s whole character across decades. Back it off for warm, rounded 70s midrange, or push it forward for the punchier, more metallic edge of 80s and 90s rock tones.
It’s a compact unit — just 11.3 × 7.5 cm (4.45 × 2.95 in) — built to earn a permanent spot on a crowded board.
Power note: this pedal draws 20mA and requires a regulated 9V DC center-negative adapter. No battery option, by design. Unregulated supplies or higher voltages can degrade noise performance or damage the unit, and will void your warranty — so power it right.
