Built around the same optical compression circuit found in Demeter’s original Compulator, this Pro version adds dedicated Attack and Release knobs so you can dial in exactly how fast the compressor grabs a note and how it lets go—tighten up slap attacks, smooth out fingerstyle sustain, or push everything into that warm, sagging LA-2A-style character bassists have chased for decades.
Set Attack and Release to their fastest positions and you’re back to the classic Compulator response—simple, musical, and always usable. Need more headroom or a hotter signal for a different instrument? Flip the Low/High Gain switch and use the onboard trimpot to set your boost exactly where you want it, so switching basses or chasing a bigger tone doesn’t mean fumbling with a separate pedal.
Every COMP-2 Compulator Pro is hand-assembled in the U.S.A. with quality components built to survive the road, the stage, and everything in between. This unit is a demo, offered at a reduced price—same build quality, same tone, just previously used for demonstration.
