EV built in three of its own technologies to keep this driver working night after night: PROTEF coating (a Teflon-based finish that shields the woofer from power peaks), the Thermal Inductive Ring, and the Flux Demodulation Device. Together they cut distortion and keep the voice coil running cooler, so your tone stays consistent even when you’re leaning hard into the low B string. Aluminum castings fastened to the magnet pole control inductance and pull heat away from the voice coil, boosting power handling and reducing thermal compression during long sets.
High excursion capability gives the low end clarity and punch instead of mush, and the thermally efficient magnet assembly is built for reliability set after set, load-in after load-in.
