Description
If you’ve been eyeing the BQC but want separate command over your lows and highs, the BQS is your circuit. It’s built on the same platform but splits bass and treble into their own dedicated knobs, while the mid stays stacked (concentric) to save real estate on your control plate. Whether your bass runs active or passive pickups, this preamp slots right in and gives you a real 3-band EQ setup for shaping tone on the fly – useful for switching between a slap-friendly scoop and a fingerstyle mid-forward growl mid-gig.
Center-detented pots make it easy to find flat by feel, so you can reset your tone in the dark between songs without hunting for a sweet spot visually. That’s a small detail that matters a lot when you’re locked into a set and need to trust your hands, not your eyes.
EMG includes all the knobs you need for install, plus two extra volume knobs thrown in for future builds or replacements – handy if you’re wiring up more than one bass or just want spares on hand.
- Separate bass and treble controls (not stacked together)
- Concentric/stacked mid control
- Master volume
- Works with active or passive pickups
- Center-detented pots for tactile flat reference
- All mounting knobs included, plus 2 extra volume knobs
Installation reference is available directly from EMG for anyone wiring this into their own bass.
