Description
This is Fender’s flagship Jazz Bass platform, built for the bassist who’s tired of choosing between comfort and performance. The “Modern D” neck profile fills your hand without wearing you out over a long set, and the tapered heel gets your thumb up into the dusty end of the fingerboard without a fight.
The 10″-14″ compound-radius maple fingerboard is where the real magic happens for your right and left hand alike: chords and low positions feel natural, while up-neck runs stay fast and flat under your fingers. 21 medium-jumbo frets give you plenty of room to dig in or lay back.
Tone-wise, the Ultra Noiseless Vintage pickups deliver that classic Jazz Bass growl and snap — the quack, the punch, the midrange bite — but without the 60-cycle hum that usually comes with single-coil bass tone. Pair that with the redesigned active preamp and you’ve got serious shaping power on tap, from vintage-warm to modern-aggressive, all night long.
Fender also sculpted the rear body contours so the bass sits against you naturally, no matter how long the gig runs. It’s a genuinely versatile instrument — equally at home slapping, fingerstyle, or pick playing — finished in the striking Texas Tea colorway.
