We’re a bass shop, but every rhythm section needs a guitar amp that actually holds up its end of the low-mid conversation – and the Blues Junior IV has been doing that in clubs and studios for years. This is Fender’s Hot Rod series classic, refined: a 15-watt all-tube combo built around a single 12″ Celestion® A-Type speaker that delivers smooth top end, a relaxed midrange, and lows with real weight behind them. That balance matters when you’re standing next to a bass rig – it lets the guitar sit in its own space instead of fighting for room.
Under the hood, the preamp circuitry has been reworked for more fullness and clarity, so chords stay defined even when things get loud. The spring reverb has been smoothed out too, giving shimmer and depth without turning muddy – useful for anyone in the band who leans on ambience to fill out a mix.
Cosmetically it’s unmistakably Fender: ivory chicken-head pointer knobs, a lightly-aged silver grille cloth, a steel-reinforced strap handle, and updated control panel graphics and texture. It’s small enough to grab for a last-minute gig or session, but it hits with the tone and touch-sensitivity that separates a real tube amp from a modeler.
