The Geddy Lee Jazz Bass takes Geddy’s personal ’72 Jazz as the blueprint – an alder body under that classic 3-Color Sunburst, paired with a slim one-piece maple neck that lets your hand move fast without fighting the instrument. The maple fingerboard gets black binding and black rectangular inlays, so it looks as sharp under stage lights as it feels under your fingers.
Tone-wise, the two vintage-style Jazz Bass single-coils do what Jazz pickups have always done best – punchy mids, a snarl in the bridge, warmth in the neck, and the classic dual-volume/master-tone layout that lets you blend and shape on the fly mid-set. The Leo Quan Badass II bridge adds sustain and low-end authority you can feel through the floor, while vintage-style open-gear tuners keep things stable through long gigs and long tours.
