Description
If you’ve ever plugged an acoustic into a PA and cringed at that thin, quacky piezo tone, the Aura Spectrum DI is the fix bassists and guitarists alike reach for. Fishman’s Aura Acoustic Imaging technology blends in the character of a real studio mic capture, so your undersaddle or soundhole pickup stops sounding like a pickup and starts sounding like your instrument actually recorded well. For acoustic bass players especially, that low-end warmth and body is hard to get any other way from a DI box.
The all-metal chassis is built for the road, and the control set is genuinely gig-friendly: Volume, Blend, and Image Select controls, a 3-band EQ, and a one-knob compressor to keep your low end tamed without fighting a rack of gear. Feedback on stage? The automatic anti-feedback circuit gives you up to three notches, plus a phase switch for extra insurance in loud rooms. There’s a built-in chromatic tuner with bypass/mute, an effects loop, and a balanced XLR DI out with automatic ground lift for clean runs to the board.
128 pre-loaded Images cover popular acoustic instruments, and 16 user-configurable slots let you load your own via the included Aura Image Gallery software over USB. Runs on a 9-volt battery or optional adaptor.
