If you’ve ever chased that classic GK bite — clean and punchy one moment, gritty and saturated the next — this head hands it to you at 800 watts Class D, light enough to sling in one hand.
What sets the Legacy Series apart isn’t just tone, it’s construction. Gallien-Krueger swapped out the standard tin-wire connections for gold-plated circuit board interconnects, cutting down on the failures that come from years of temperature swings and stage vibration. It’s the kind of detail you only appreciate after a bad experience with a lesser amp dying mid-set.
Tone-wise, you get GK’s familiar 4-band active EQ plus foot-switchable overdrive with its own tone control (footswitch included), so you can kick in grit on the fly without touching a knob. Dial in extra character with the Bump, Contour, and Presence voicing filters, then route your signal wherever you need it — balanced XLR DI (switchable pre/post EQ), an effects loop, aux input, and headphone output are all on board. Twist-lock speaker outputs handle 2-, 2.7-, 4-, and 8-ohm cabinet loads, so whatever your rig looks like, this head is ready to drive it.
